Rev. Katie Meek was called to serve as pastor of Bethel in June of 2008. She's an (almost) lifelong United Methodist who has previously served as Youth Director at Palmer United Methodist Church and interned in the Office of Hispanic Ministries of the Central Texas Conference. She holds a degree in Christian Education from Texas Wesleyan University and a Master of Divinity from Brite Divinty School (Texas Christian University).
Katie believes that relationships are what it's all about and that God is in the business of making a world of equal, healed, and whole individuals and communities. In case you're interested, Katie is currently reading Reaching People Under Fourty While Keeping People Over Sixty by Edward Hammett.
If you don't find Katie in her office at the church and she's not around town doing visits, you can probably catch her doing some work at the Chicken Scratch Cafe on the square in Weatherford or (of course) at Starbucks.
Katie's always up for a visit, email, or phone call so don't hesitate to contact her at the church, by email at katie@bethelumcweatherford.org, or by phone at 817-596-3418
